Kara Grisamer, PE
Kara Grisamer, PE, is the Manager of Geotechnical Services at Testing Engineers & Consultants, Inc. (TEC), bringing extensive civil engineering experience in geotechnical investigations, construction materials testing, and infrastructure improvements. She leads teams of technicians and staff engineers, coordinates field operations, and helps ensure projects move forward efficiently while meeting client needs.
Kara’s experience includes geotechnical investigations, foundation inspections, property condition assessments, and construction observations for a wide range of projects. Her background also includes roadway and pavement rehabilitation, culvert replacements, drainage improvements, and municipal infrastructure projects.
She has supported projects throughout Michigan for school districts, municipalities, commercial and industrial clients, and senior living facilities. Her project experience includes construction materials testing and geotechnical services for new schools, retail locations, manufacturing facilities, and major public venues, as well as pavement evaluations and infrastructure improvements.
Kara earned her Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan. She also holds a Water Distribution S-2 certification and is a graduate of the Michigan Public Service Institute.
Through her combination of technical knowledge, project management experience, and hands-on understanding of field operations, Kara helps TEC clients address site challenges and make informed decisions throughout the design and construction process.
In her down time, Kara enjoys spending time with her family and relaxes by crocheting.
